Julia Capp graduated from the University of Queensland, Brisbane with a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Design Studies. She has an MBA from the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris.

Starting her career in Brisbane, London, Hong Kong and Shanghai, where Capp developed residential and commercial projects. She moved from Asia to Europe in 1998 and joined RDAI to coordinate the agency’s architectural projects, at a time when the agency was expanding internationally. In 2006, Capp developed RDAI’s furniture and object design department, then Material Curator in 2021, a materiality and artistic direction consulting service. She was appointed Associate General Director in 2022, alongside Denis Montel, General Manager and Artistic Director.
