Graduated from the École Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris in 2002, Thomas Coldefy is a licensed architect in France and has been Director of the architecture and urban planning agency Coldefy since 2006, which he co-founded with Isabel Van Haute.
Coldefy’s previous experience includes positions at renowned international agencies in London, New York, and Paris. Shortly after joining Coldefy, his originality and ingenuity enabled the studio winning several competitions, notably the Hong Kong Design Institute, which he won with Van Haute in 2006 against 162 teams.
The agency, driven by an international tropism, is today characterised by its dynamism and creativity. Coldefy stands out for its spirit of openness and innovation, relying on sustainable and innovative practices in line with our environmental challenges.
Coldefy's project methodology is based on an extreme consideration of the site, an urban culture concerned with density and diversity, and a conceptualisation process where the different factors are continuously interrelated until the point of convergence.
