Nicola Delon

Architect, Founder & Partner

Encore Heureux Architectes · France

Nicola Delon is an architect and the co-founder of Encore Heureux Architectes, an award-winning firm that among others was commissioned to curate the French Pavilion at the 16th International Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2018, for its “Infinite Places” exhibit. It is an inventory of spaces that embodies the unexpected and a sense of common aspiration.

After graduating from Ecole nationale supérieure d'architecture (ENSA) de Paris-la Villette in 2001, Delon co-founded Encore Heureux Architectes with Julien Choppin. He was appointed Co-commissioner of the 2014 exhibition entitled “Gray Matter” held at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal in Paris, advocating for the reuse of materials as a challenge in response to resource exhaustion in construction. The architecture firm undertook a variety of projects, joined by two partners, Sébastien Eymard and Sonia Vu in 2016. Delon has been invited to many major international conferences as a keynote speaker, promoting a sober, juster, and more convivial architecture.
